Ace The Markets

I had always been interested in the stock market for as long as I can remember. I even tried reading a few books about the subject back in the day but like everyone else, the information swirled above my head and eventually I knew nothing more than what I saw on TV, or what my 401k statement said at the end of the month. It wasn’t until I met a former Wallstreet stock broker, who was a co-worker of mine, that my life changed forever. Now you may be thinking he mentored me, but you’d be wrong. He forced me to learn for myself, and like anything that is worth it in life, it didn’t come easy.  I wanted this more than anything. That passion mixed with perseverance and the longing to do this is what fueled my growth through some very hard times. I got financially beat down by the markets. I blew out a couple of trading accounts. I experienced the intense feelings of fear & greed that every trader feels when they click that mouse. With time and experience, you learn to control those emotions but even the best traders will tell you, they never go away. To me trading is not just about the latest trends, quarterly earnings reports, and headline news. It’s deeper than that. It’s about understanding human emotions, pain points, and market psychology. In the end, I view trading as a calculated game of chance where with knowledge, discipline, and a well executed trading plan, anyone can enter, compete and be successful.
